In 1979, Gilbert (Bud) Clark opened his first flooring store in south St. Louis County after many years as a union installer. His three sons, Michael, Gary, and Jim, also installers, joined Bud, and they began to build a quality name in the flooring business, now known as Clark Floor Co. Inc.
