In 1948 Eugene Christ and Jim Lichliter opened at Gambles Hardware Store with one entire floor devoted to furniture. Over time their one floor grew to four. Before they knew it they had converted the entire building into their own and changed the name to Christ Furniture and Mattress in 1977. Today the store is still run with the same professionalism that has made it thrive for so many years. Each room is stocked with the finest furnishings and shown by friendly non-commissioned sales staff.
